Palm Meadows on Queensland's Gold Coast, is still a quality location after years outside of the spotlight. Bogey Golfer returned to play a course, where as a youngster in the 80’s, he watched Greg Norman tame what was once regarded as an intimidating layout.

Bonnie Doon Golf Club

Bonnie Doon Golf Club shares some prestigious real estate near Sydney’s CBD. Big name courses, The Lakes and The Australian sit nearby, and, along with a No.47 ranking in Australia’s Top 100 Public Access courses, Bogey was expecting some great things. Unfortunately, he left disappointed!

Lynwood Country Club

When The Bogey Golfer reflects on his round at Lynwood Country Club, he is reminded of an adolescent teen developing into manhood. Sculpted out of swamp land in Sydney’s North West, Lynwood winds its way around a landscape thats destined for greatness, but its not there yet!

Kooindah Waters

Kooindah Waters, a residential and spa resort located on the Central Coast near Terrigal, about 90 minutes North of Sydney, is a pretty special course that challenges even the lowest of markers.   

Massey Park

Massey Park is all about convenience. Its a small public course, located in Concord, in Sydney's Inner West overlooking Exile Bay. The setting is relaxing, basic, and provides the perfect opportunity for a quick round between chores on the weekend, when time can be precious.

Mount Broughton

Mount Broughton, one hours drive from Sydney, in the beautiful NSW Southern Highlands, is one of Australia's longest and unique courses, designed in a links format with Scottish styling, and rated at 75 ACR when playing off the black markers, its a true test of golf.

Gerringong Golf Course

An open, scenic, reasonably forgiving hit awaits at the Gerringong Golf Club on the NSW South Coast just south of Kiama. Its not pretentious, its picturesque, and its set right on the beach. Its not uncommon for surfers to make their way across a fairway as you line up that next shot.

Glenmore Heritage Valley

Glenmore Heritage Valley, a short 45mins drive from Sydney CBD, 10 minutes south of Penrith, at the foot of Blue Mountains is a little hidden gem. This is a course that provides a real golf challenge with a laid back country feel as it snakes its way along the valley.

Pacific Dunes

The Pacific Dunes Course at Medowie, just south of Nelson Bay, provides an interesting challenge for golfers looking to play on a championship residential course, at a reasonable price.

Westlawn Golf Course

For the love of the game, Bogey travels back to his roots annually and plays on the course where it all started for him. Daylight savings afforded Bogey the chance to play 9 holes against (the competition was fierce) his best mate straight after school. He now takes his 4 year old nephew onto the course in the hope his passion is ignited.
